Watch: Hands-on with cyberpunk text adventure Code 7
I'm a big fan of this recent trend of retro cyberpunk games, specializing in lo-fi, CRT monitor-esque visuals and intentionally corny sci-fi plots. Of these, Code 7 -- which came out earlier this year, after a successful Kickstarter in 2016 -- is an especially exciting entry. A text terminal-based hacking adventure, you can expect to guide your wetware partner through hostile locations, override security, and defeat murderous robots, all with a few keystrokes.
(As an aside, I feel "cyberpunk" isn't exactly the right term for this aesthetic. Maybe "CRT-punk" would be better?)
