Watch: Jump Force E3 2018 gameplay showcases manga heroes and villains

Bandai Namco takes the kitchen sink approach with Jump characters (again).

If you've followed Bandai Namco's publishing output of Weekly Jump properties as games in the last decade, Jump Force and its expansive roster of fighters (and characters who weren't originally conceived as fighters) felt inevitable. Unlike games like J-Stars Victory and Jump Ultimate Stars, Jump Force gets added attention as a commemorative release to the 50th anniversary of Weekly Jump Magazine.

Developer Spike Chunsoft doesn't have the kind of stellar track record as Dragon Ball FighterZ studio Arc System Works, but Jump Force still shows promise. Judging from the video above, you can expect tag team-style combat and a mix of real world locales and settings from Jump properties. Not only do the combos look flashy and aptly complex, finishing moves appear down right explosive. As Bandai Namco slowly reveals its complete roster in the coming months, you can at least count on appearances from characters from Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and One Piece. Our video shows mainstays like Goku, Frieza, Sasuke, and Luffy. While no release date has been set, Jump Force is planned for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
